ADA ASA Tiers

  • Assurance Level 0 (AL0 - Self Attestation): At this foundational level, developers review applicable ADA requirements and confirm their product meets every requirement, completing a questionnaire to represent compliance. This level has limited assurance.
  • Assurance Level 1 (AL1 - Verified Self Assessment): This level involves developers performing lightweight testing, typically using publicly available tooling, and providing evidence via a questionnaire to an ADA Security Test Laboratory (ASTL). Our ASTL then reviews the test results and submitted evidence, providing reasonable assurance.
  • Assurance Level 2 (AL2 - Lab Assessment): This is the highest level of assurance. Our authorized ASTL conducts comprehensive technical testing of the application's security requirements and reviews developer-provided documentation. Developers provide access credentials for thorough testing when required.
